JURASSIC GRANGETOWN

Grangetown Zoo 2022

This years event is bigger than ever with Local schools, charities, organisations and businesses running workshops or creating artwork.

The RSPB will be doing a guided wild adventure trail around some of the exhibits and running drop in activity workshops in Pentre Gardens. The Wildlife Trust will be running drop in activities. The National Museum will be okthere with some fossils and dinosaur bones to check out. Techniquest will be running a series of free art workshops for adults and older people. The dementia cafe at Grangetown Hub will be getting involved. The Honeycomb Toy shop will be creating a dinosaur nest and running activities throughout the day. Menter Caerdydd will be running free graffiti workshops for children and creating a mural. Writer Hammad Rind will be creating a story trail to guide listeners around the area. There’s also a chance to have a go at Lino printing and create a crochet dinosaur

Local schools and nurseries will be getting involved. St Pauls, Ninian Park, Grangetown Primary School, Grangetown Nursery and the Cylch Meithrin Grangetown a'r Bae will be joining the trail and making some dinosaur enclosures. Ysgol Hamadryad will be making some dioramas to display around their fence in addition to their enclosure.

Other local businesses will be joining in on the fun and displaying some dinosaurs for the occasion including the Tramshed, the Grange Pub, the Grangetown Hub.

Residents are invited to get involved by decorating their own windows, gardens or alleys or taking part in one of the free art workshops on offer on Saturday 16th July.
